Dave, an aging surfer, struggles with the evolution of his favorite pastime. What was once pure in form, has become infused with fashion, technology, and social media. When Dave, a guidance counselor, confronts a remote worker trying to camp in front of his beachside home, it sets off a series of events that threatens Dave's simple existence as a surfer and family man. With a social media account created to combat the vanlifers that visit his coastal retreat, Dave recruits young locals to join his plight. As his friends and family watch Dave drive the train off the tracks, we wonder if he'll give up or lose everything in this comedy full of surf and social media humor.
